Fairlawn Park Basketball Association
Something special is happening in the Fairlawn neighborhood of Waterbury, Connecticut. The City has devoted $250,000 in grant money to renovate the 1-acre park off Homestead Avenue in the East End. Everyone liked the idea of new playground equipment and fencing.
However, many older residents wanted to eliminate the basketball court, because they thought the court led to vandalism and litter. Led by former Fairlawn resident Joe Summa, the neighborhood's youngsters pledged to keep the park clean and free of vandalism... saving the basketball court at Fairlawn Park!
Here you can learn more about us, view our photo gallery, check out news, pledge to keep the court clean, see the court through our web cam, become one of our sponsors or contact us for more information. It's all about good, clean fun!
